Not seen many for sale for ages.

What's happening - are they all being bought by dealers shipping them off to the wrong side of the channel because of the £ to Euro rate?

On the plus side, must be keeping values up for those of you with them in these turbulent times smile

Won't be many if any coing over from the US at the moment given the rubbish exchange rate some I am guessing the prices for UK ones will stay strong for the next few months.

If you monitor classifieds, ebay and autotrader, the same old cars are still on there for sale.the market is in stalemate, nobody will reduce the price and nobody is prepared to pay the asking prices.
The folks who have them think the values are going to stay the same because of the exchange rate but the folks who want them are holding out for a bargain,
I think a few may get cheaper because of job losses etc,and this may break the deadlock.
The trouble is most people can't afford to offer their car at a saleable price because they will have to add funds just to get out of the finance agreement.
Happened to me today, trying to buy a C6

Would be interested to learn more if you are able to say publicly.

As regards pricing, last month I bought a used 300C from a main Chrysler dealer at 70% of the forecourt price. They clearly needed to move stock and I was lucky. Warranty may be worthless soon, though!!!!

I don't think it would be fair to disclose personal info on a public forum. Sorry old boy

True, there do seem to be a few that have been on there for ages. I guess anybody who doesn't have to sell would be mad to try and shift a Z06 at the moment. Fingers crossed the market starts moving again in the spring.

Dare I suggest it might mean more about the cars that are for sale rather than their pricing?? A radical thought I know......

Do you mean the physical point of sale of the cars or the quality of them ?
Surely not all cars from non-Franchised dealers are under par?
I would agree though that with cars of this value, the majority of customers would prefer the security of a main dealer(unless it's S***ts***es).

Maybe. Haven't seen them so couldn't comment. I'd hope there were a few good-uns out there though.

Had a nosy round Bauer Millett in Manchester the other week though and couldn't believe the scratches and chunks taken out of the Z06 and Mustang on sale by the front gate. Great to see the cars on display like that but when (I assume this is what happened) scumbags walk in and vandalise them it must make your blood boil.

The Mustang did have somethig thrown at it but has now been rectified. I must say I can't find anything on the Z06 though and I'm a hard one to catch out. We've not even fitted the splitter to it for fear of scraping it.

There's a couple on here: http://www.auto-journals.com/journals/Corvettewink but we're looking for many more, and not just Z06s, ALL Corvettes.

Don't understand why the American Dreams car hasn't sold? I made an offer in September, but got declined!

It's not all doom and gloom. I'm selling my Z06 at the moment. I unfortunately had bad luck with one of the first guys that viewed my car. He fell in love and left a deposit, but has had problems raising the money he thought he had?! So in the meantime a few weeks later, I've beenturning away many, many enquires telling them it was sold, very frustrating.

I've had a mixture of people call/email. Many from Europe due to the exchange rate. Many moving down from expensive exotic cars due to the economical climate, one guy just sold his Ferrari, paid off his debts but still wanted power and the Z06 was perfect for him. Then people wanting the car, but had to sell theirs first, something they can't seem to do as the market has slowed down. In all it's been red hot for the Z06 market place, I've just had back luck with my buyer. So lesson learned, it aint sold until the money is in my hand, so I need to get those people back who thought it was sold! LOL!

He is a very strange guy to deal with, I have tried in the past but he seems just unintrested in selling cars. Chris Graham is always helpful and very good. I just find Peter at American dreams odd.

Where did you advertise it to get European enquiries?

Most came via this website. Pistonheads seems to be pretty well branded across Europe.
