I'm hiring a Corvette ZHZ from Hertz for my trip to the 12-Hour Sebring ALMS race next year. Has anyone hired one before? Are they any different from the 'standard' C6?

AFAIK it's essentially a mainstream C6 paddle-shifter with a Hertzy colour scheme.

Should be fun!

Is it just the angle on the photograph - or is the front air dam/road scraper smaller?

Looks like they forgot to put all of it on at pdi....

Maybe it's left off because it is a rental car taking abuse

I'm guessing you'll be picking it up at OIA - I think they have 4 of them. Sadly they get the living piss whipped out of them by tourists who do the kind of thing you're planning. They're tough though. Unfortunately, Hertz's color 'treatment' makes it very, very obvious that it's a renter, so be careful with your valuables (don't leave them in the car).
Have you experienced the 12 Hours of Sebring before? If not, you're in for a mind-melter. It crushes Le Mans on several levels (not all, but most of the important ones). Bring your drinking boots, it's one hell of a party.

Indeed, I'll be picking the car up from Orlando. Last year was my first at the 12-hours, and for me it's now a 'must do' - great fun!
