Ive done the up-grade to the H.I.D system, and to be honest its very poor. The beam pattern is non existant, and is all over the place. The same can be said for the euro spec lights. There are many threads regarding the same issue over in the U.S Vette forums. The only real answer is to part with $800 and buy the pop up projector lamps.

Do you know if anyone has those in UK? Do they have to be specific for driving on the left?

I dont know if anyone has fitted them here. There has been some lenthy discussion on the Corvette forum, with pics showing the poor light scatter of the originals fitted with H.I.D,s.The projector lamps are the only alternative. They have been made to be incorporated in the original housings.

Had HID bulbs fitted to my C5 with American spec headlamps. Great light output but beam scatter a real nuisance to others, kept getting flashed .silly
Changed to euro spec headlamps ( which Kieth Beschi got me,,thanks ) much better but need higher power bulbs.

I fitted an HID conversion kit from http://www.shop.djmotorsportaccessories.com/produc...

Now $199 + shipping

No problem with them at all - maybe not as good as the projector kits but for £150 I don't think you can go wrong
