No I don't have one! just I never seen one of any age below the 5k mark, high mileage C4's I know are the cheapest and some nasty C3's needing work go for around this price. has anybody ever paid less than 5k for a working Corvette?

Nice one!

I havn't seen much around lately, but certainly C4 prices of 4k have been seen - I rememebr one of the dealers having one at the Nationals up for this sort of money. Csmetically challenged but it certainly seemed to work.

I bought an 86 C4 in '99 for £4k and a 2 owner( here and stateside) '95 LT1 with 80k for £5250 this year. The car was spot on with a years tax and test.
They are out there and in the next 12 mths I think there will be a lot more thanks to the bankers !
When(if) the pound recovers against the euro and the flow into Europe ceases I think £15k C6's are a possibility next year.
You can't pay the morgage with instalments of Corvette

IIRC the Wheeler Dealers program started out with C4 they bought for £2,500 and sold for about £4,000 after Ed's fettling, though still with dodgy paint.

Hmm, and worse still they didn't actually 'sell it' - it was a set up and the car did actually sell, I think a year later, on ebay for about £2.5k...

Bought My current '88 for £4k a couple of months ago, seen other L98 C4s selling on ebay for £3k-£4k fairly regularly recently!

I bought a lovely, and I mean lovely '84 for £5400 a few years ago. 18 months later after breaking my back and losing all my teeth on UK roads (well they did say the suspension is a bit hard) I couldn't take it any more and sold it for £6500.

The guy who bought it said "the ride isn't as bad as I thought it would be". I think he is now in a nut house...

Sorry if that's a bit politically incorrect, I meant an "institution for the totally mental".
