And which (non-Corvette) was your favourite, and why?

I have owned 15, best non-Vette was my grey-import black MR2 (hairdresser!), because it was simply a really well engineered car, pretty good performance and superb roadholding.

2000 Subaru Impreza
2001 Mitsubishi Evo VII

2008 C6 Z06

Plus various runabouts

Can't remember any others so I make that 18 in total. Favourite in stock form has to be the 2008 C6 Z06.

I've got a fairly short list, mainly because nearly all of my post university life has included company cars of some sort, but in order.

1967 Landrover (at the tender age of 11!)
1968 Landrover (now heavily modded, inc. V8)
1990 Fiesta Ghia
1970 Landrover SII V8
1979 Mini 1275GT (best car I have ever owned for grin factor)
1997 Mercedes C230 Sport (surprisingly good chassis) r.i.p
2001-02 Crap company Rovers/Toyotas/Vauxhalls
2002-2005 Every Volvo available
1994 Fiesta r.i.p (my cousin killed it)
2006-7 Cadillac/Corvette/Hummer
1997 Bravo 1.8
2008 Various Jags - XF SV8 and XJ LWB (which had a pco so I could drive in bus lanes!) were the highlights
1998 BMW 323i
2005 BMW 320d

I have owned 48 cars so far.

Including

6 Opel Mantas (5 of which were A Series)

My first Yank was a 427 cu Ford T'Bird 1972, when I was 21.

Since then I've had 10 American cars, mostly Camaros now on my first (& hopefully not last) Corvette.

I can read and understand your question Mr Mello! wink

19 cars so far.

Best non-Vette would probably technically be my Ferrari F430 Spider, but I probably had most fun in the F355 Spider and absolutely loved the 620hp Nissan R33 GT-R V-spec (from which I got my username) when it worked and absolutely cursed it when it destroyed yet another set of engine internals.

Okay well I did tell you my worst car and favourite vette!
Favourite non-Vette would be either the Dodge Ram SRT-10 or the Lotus Exige, or the Scooby........

Hmm,

3 off white Skoda Rapid coupes,

VW based Nova kit car (nothing to do with the GM hatch... think Condorman..)

Volvo 240 GLE estate
1970 Mustang

6 off Ford Capris, 2.0 - 2.8, both sizes non turbo and turbo

Audi Coupe Quattro (non turbo)
VW Corrado

Mazda MX6
Mazda MX5

1980 Chevrolet Camaro V6 (25mpg everywhere - not bad for a 3.8l behemouth)
1986 Corvette

Think that makes 18!

Choosing a favourite would actually be kind of tricky, all of them put a big smile on my face in one way or another, and each comes with its own memories/adventures.

I think I'll have to go for the MX5, apart from the Vette it's the car I've had the longest, and the one that does so many things right (don't ask Sciencebird about the noise on long journeys or what she describes as 'non working' suspension)

Kev - since you were a Manta owner you are now my arch rival!!

Whoops.......

It would have to be my 76 Z28 Camaro with stick shift.

Boy could that fly.

S3. Purest Giugiaro shape, no turbo, no a/c, no power steering - so as little to go wrong as possible! 9 years virtually trouble-free enjoyment (just had to get a new core put in the rad; SWMBO particularly enjoyed helping me fit the rad back in the car...)
