It was a pleasure Chris. I'm still rather disappointed that I couldn't really show you the true potential of the car. As you found yourself, there just wasn't the grip out there! Another time I'm sure.

Having just seen the 'Tumbleweed' thread I'm rather disappointed really........... I shan't say much more than that for fear of ruining the forum further.

Mitch, although I have had no need of your services (yet), I really appreciate yourself and other dealers getting involved in the Corvette community. I,ve just posted similar on the 'tumbleweed' thread. Hope this helps balance out the views a little.

Thanks Ian, I appreciate that. I think it's important for some people to remember that I don't just post on here as a dealer but also as an enthusiast. Afterall, I'm the only person racing a Corvette in the U.K. and still keep an '82 Collector Edition that's been in the family for 15 years. Myself and David are keen to help enthusiasts as it's an important part of building the recognition of a brand we take pride in being involved with.

You might want to clarify this post, as I know you're definately NOT the only person in the UK who races a corvette. depends on what your 'flavour of racing is'..

Mitch I think a lot of people are unaware how Important someone like Bauer-Millett have been, not only for Corvette but the whole American car scene in the UK.
As I said before if it was not for your Dad's help last time round when GM were here they would have been well and truly stuffed in the UK.
Shall we count up how many official GM dealers have been going for over twenty years? Errr ONE. So you must be doing something right. Even when GM get stuck they use you guys to dig them out! soapbox

Thanks Rob, it's good to hear that. I've always found that in our end of the 'job' you get alot further with an enthusiastic attitude and solid principals than looking at every customer as your next 'get rich quick opportunity'. Apologies if I'm sometimes firm in my beliefs and opinions on this forum, but I know in the long run both mine and David's experience can ultimately help people both financially and practically.
