It's very quiet on here these days. Has everyone locked their P&J up for the winter whilst preparing for economic armageddon? tank

Is anyone going on any track days over the winter?

Surely Donnington is worth a visit sooner rather than later incase the locals actually let them develop it in to a world class venue (significantly changing the track at the same time).

The Bauer Millett contingent seem to be busy doing other things at the moment wink so the owners/enthusiats have the forum back to themselves.

Has no one got the impetus to write something interesting or funny?

You're right James!!

Since we were invaded by front wheel drivers, & we lost Memphis boy, its been eerily quiet!!
I bought some discs & pads from the nice men in Manchester [thats up near Scotland, but they do use the post!], so, yes, i fancy a trip to Donington. Trouble is, they seem to be all Sundays, & i would assume they're rather busy days?
Had some good advice from Godzilla & yourself, so i think i can now get rid of active handling. Just got to get the tyre sensors tuned in, then i'm looking for a good day out!
Nurburgringfreak seems enthusiastic about the twists & turns, & i bet he can't wait for his ZR1

A thoroughly justified response....

Roughrider, if you are at a loose end on Sunday morning and want a(considerably slower) companion on Leicestershire back roads let me know.

Good idea, & thanks for asking, but due to said "economic armageddon", i have sold my Aprilia, which is being picked up Sunday!
December 13th Silverstone GP, or 14th at Donington [weather permitting], would be best, if you're around?

Unfortunately not. I'll probably be up at Donnington on 21st or 28th. The weather doesn't really matter when you're in a 200hp saloon. In fact the wetter the better!

Never! Always doing my best to keep the Vette ticking along.

Had a new windscreen in my "other" car yesterday. Driving today on M25 in the rain and, you guessed, the driver's side wiper stopped working because the idiot hadn't tightened the nut properly! Always a nice surprise when you're in the blinding spray and suddenly switch to zero visibility. But as exactly the same thing happened the last time the windscreen was changed perhaps I shouldn't be surprised! That old girl's on 145,000 and rising so there's all sorts of jobs which are becoming "strangely familiar".

Also, the forum being used for constant criticism of others within the trade and promotion of one's self, has all got very tedious. Nothing is for ever, but it is noticeable how a great many of the "founders" of this forum hardly ever post even though they are still around. C'est la vie...........

Personally, i think so long as the dealers don't put each other down [because they're bound to trade with one another at some point!], that their pooled knowledge of such a rare [in the UK] and exclusive product, can only be good for owners?!!
I don't like seeing the guy i bought my car off, being sgged off! I got excellent service, & i love my car!
I'm sure there are good & bad stories from every corner, partly down to the personalities of some of the customers!
I enjoy these forums, & there are some very witty people on here. So keep up the contributions, without sniping at your [in effect] colleagues!

I think it`s good that dealers want to get involved, it brings many more benefits to the forum,
If you look through the Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo forums there have been threads recently about some of the origanel people not posting anymore, so its not just this forum
