Most "g" pulled in a Vette?

Nurburgringfreak, you must have glanced at your windscreen while negotiating the carousel [eyeballs rattling in their sockets!] praying the flippin thing stays hooked up!
You can recall the maximum g once you stop, so no need to stare at the hud whilst negotiating the bend!I think the display maxes out at 1.23 or 1.28. Whatever it is I hit that on most tracks.
Coilovers and Toyo R888s are your friends...
No need to keep watching the display as previously mentioned.
Just press and hold "page" BEFORE switching off the engine and it will recall the highest g of that trip.
It also changes the page, annoyingly. (i.e. oil temp or whatever subsidiary gauge you've chosen.)

Godzilla, can i ask, do you use coilovers as well as retaining the leaf spring? If so, what poundage springs, and length are they front & rear?
No I replaced the leaf springs completely. I bought a set of 3-way adjustable Penke shocks with dual Hypercoil springs. I ordered them from Gary Hoffman at Hardbar USA, along with a harness bar and 6 point Teamtech harnesses (as well as the Bartec TPMS tool!)Godzilla, can i ask, do you use coilovers as well as retaining the leaf spring? Gary's chassis expert partner is a bit of a set-up guru and the springs were specced to clear the suspension and allow enough travel to accomodate the Corvette's slightly unusual geometry.
I don't know the spring rates, but there are 2 each corner, one soft to absorb the small bumps, one firmer to control the body. When the rebound is set right, the ride is fantastic, unrecognisable as being a Corvette's, but tweak up the low-speed bump and it is a track demon.
OK, thanks for that. So that tells me the original shock absorber mounting points are strong enough to cope with the weight of the car.
Because the car has a ton of mechanical grip at the back anyway, i was toying with the idea of putting coilovers on the back to complement the leafs stiffness. By doing that [possibly using 300lb springs with no preload, & a helper spring for when the back end is unloaded] i was hoping to make the car tuneable for almost any circuit.
I appreciate Penske is top gear, bur i can imagine you parted with a few grand for that set-up?!
