Z06 vs Cerbera

Thanks for the heads up - I was wondering whatever had happened to that video footage. It really was worthwhile after all, having that kit strapped to the car - what great shots!!
Good memories of an excellent summer's day out - wouldn't have missed it for anything.
Your TVR went a lot better than the clip suggests!
Perhaps next year you'll be in the Z06 club? - by Spring you should be able to pick up one for the price of a new Corsa VXR - credit crunch an all that!!
If not that, then why not fit an LS7 in the TVR? - I know where there is a complete unit for sale - at a very reasonable price!
Hi John, hope all's well with you up in bonny Scotland! I have two HD videos of the event, so much better resolution than the clip I uploaded, so if you want to email me your details I could burn it onto cd and post to you. I also have some great pics (high res) of your Z06 which you can have too. The vidoes have been edited mainly for marketing though, but you feature a few times - definitely worth keeping.
As for the LS7, yes, please email me as this is exactly what I'm now thinking. By putting the LS7 in the Cerbera I get the best of both worlds (simple mechanicals, low tax/insurance etc yet LS7 power!) There is a company who now offers the LS conversion for the Cerbera for £7k which includes a base LS engine, although an uprated T5 box is extra. There are 3 LS powered Cerberas on the road now, including a supercharged one!!
Take care Buddy!!

Mitch, no that price doesn't include an LS7. What it does include is a drive-in, drive out price (less VAT) for an LS1 conversion, using a new crate engine. The conversion manages to re-use many ancillaries such as T5 box, bellhousing, clutch, driveshaft, engine wiring harness, ECU etc. Its a very clever conversion package done by a professional engineer. So to fit an LS7 it would be around £15k, although would need an uprated CTS T5 box to cope with the torque (+£2k). However I could sell my AJP and T5 plus other bits for circa £4k so gross cost is around £13-14k. Not cheap, but given the Cerbera's kerb weight of around 1175kg, performance would be epic (in a straight line anyway!).
