GM have had XM radio in the States for sometime and offer it on the Corvette and most of the Other GM Cars sold in the states, Also Onstar which I have used in when on Holiday in the states is a great product with real time information and loads of other features even if the engine management light comes on they can let you know whats up with the car! Again standard on most GM cars.
Its a shame these are not offered on new GM cars in europe a good selling point for Cadillac Corvette and Saab, This could then be offered on Opel/vauxhall another way to make money I would pay for a factory system like that. I know Vauxhall was looking into this about ten years ago but never heard about it again. The same with XM radio this would be another great feature.

XM Radio would need satellites over Europe which I don't think GM can afford by themselves!

Sound quality in the Escalade I rented was appalling; much worse than FM.
