This one is definately the 'real deal', the owner is very into the car, but not the scene and has never taken it to any 'vette related events or do's, just uses it for occassional sunny day blasts.

That's just seems a real shame to hide it away!! Why not enjoy the car.

Oh he does, and we've had a couple of good blasts with the GS and my C4.

I loved the GS. We were offered one by GM around 1999 as they'd discovered one in a compound in Russelsheim which had gotten lost. It was brand new. I desperately tried to convince my father to buy it but he was having none of it. Gutted.

Nice! Have to try and fish out some pics from the ZR1/GS 'Gathering' at Bowling Green a few years ago - it was enough to start quenching a big GS thirst!

I always loved the 1996 GS and a proper limited edition i.e. 1,000 cars.
I even started building a database of all the cars years ago.....yes I know I'm sad!

Only ever seen one in the UK and that was Swedish registered visiting The Nationals at Knebworth in about 1995.

Obviously this doesn't answer the question but shows where some of the GS's have ended up.....
