Are their many Vette owners who leave the car on the street or driveway overnight? Or do most of us have a garage for it?

The vette did have to live outside on the drive for most of last summer whilst I built the new garage, but since then it lives in the garage although it does get used virtually every day

I park mine in the garage (trying to pretend it's not tedious having to manually fold the driver's mirror to squeeze through a standard UK single-width door, and being too tight to replace them with a double-width door...). Partly for security, partly because I can't be bothered scraping ice/snow off in the winter months, but mainly because of.....cats and birds! Luckily the former don't tend to use the car as a toilet, but they do love to climb up onto a nice warm car - in the days before I had a garage I got used to those tell-tale parallel scratches where a moggie had demonstrated a conspicuous lack of cat-like agility. When I had by C5 convertible I used to have to park in the street when I stayed at my (then) girlfriend's place, and for some reason a neighbour's very white, very hairy cat took a shine to sleeping on the (very black) roof. No scratches, but a pain to scrape the hair off!

Mine is parked outside the house all the time, and the C5 I had before was parked outside every day for three years with no problems at all.The Cobra has the luxury of being garaged all the time, but to be honest I couldn't fit the Vette in the garage and be able to open the door to get out!
