Bill Heard had 13 or 14 stores, all of them enormous. They sold $2,500,000,000 worth of cars last year.
GMAC pulled their inventory financing line of credit, that sunk em. Lots of Chevy stores (Among others) going under right now over here. I quit my job from hell 2 months ago as a manager in the trade over here, haven't looked THAT hard, but few are hiring. Hmm.. wonder if Stratsone is?

Very interesting point about credit. I'm always amazed how many people on the US Corvette Forum are very young and buying their cars on really long credit (5 or 6 years isn't unusual!) - lose the line of credit and you lose a lot of business. I guess over here (new) Vettes are bought by older people who're less dependent on credit (although I'm now expecting to be proved completely wrong by those in the know ).GMAC pulled their inventory financing line of credit, that sunk em.
