Just need to hop on my soapbox for a minute!

You may be aware that Transport for London currently have a consultation under way regarding the future of the Western Extension of the Congestion Charging zone. The consultation ends on Sunday 5th October so if this is of relevance to you, you need to act soon. This is likely to be the last time for a long time that we will have a chance to amend the status quo regarding Con. Charging so please take a look:

I am sure you will all have your own views on the Con. Charge. Personally I think it's a moneymaking scam and it has cost me a bundle over the last few years, but don't let me influence you!

Furthermore, please draw this to the attention of anyone else who you feel may wish to have their views considered.

I didn't realise anyone could register their "vote", I assumed it would be restricted somehow to Londoners only.

Everyone here should tick the "remove the Western congestion zone" option on the mercifully brief survey, even if they don't drive into London.
It is a rare opportunity to get a chance to register your opposition to ALL congestion charging.

If it is allowed to stay under a moderate like Johnson, the other more militant councils around the country will take it as a sign to go ahead with their money-raising schemes.

Remember, the day GPS-based nationwide road-tolling is introduced (and the increasing number of congestion charge proposals paves the way) is the day our freedom to enjoy the roads ends.
I've been saying that for ages...
