First UK ZR1 Review

Evo magazine thudded onto my doormat today and there is a "Driven" of the new ZR1, albeit in the USA and I won't spoil it by revealing the star count but I will say I fully agree with the comments.

I don't agree with the star count.
The article is full of nothing but praise for the car, so why not give it 5 stars? Plenty of other cars have been given that honour.

They seem to have marked it down a full star for being a £100K Corvette. They gave the regular 2008 C6 4-and-a-half stars, so unless it is a VFM decision they're effectively saying that the ZR1 isn't as good as a regular C6. VFM is a meaningless concept for supercars and it's not uncommon for a top-end car to cost twice as much as its regular sibling (e.g. 911 GT2/GT3 RS versus 911 Carrera) and that's never been an issue for other brands (well, Porsche). Maybe it needs a few more spoilers, dayglo paint, luridly coloured wheels and some tacky "ZR1" stripes down the side?
