Claremont or Dart?
Discussion
Claremont are good and I've always found Tom an honest person to deal with aswell as knowing all there is to know about vettes, although I will be the first to admit they charge the full prices. Claremont also have a fair few parts in the stores. Don't know much about Dart. Not sure about IG, good freinds had problems with rear end fitment on their ZR-1 immediately after it was fitted and didn't recieve any back up. My freinds are decent people and deserve better.

Hmmm.. Well I know IG are "decent" people too. I also understand there are two sides to this story as indeed there usually is.
I have no personal axe to grind with IG as I've never met or had any work done by him and it's great that others have had a good experience with him. What I am saying, and I have been in business myself, is when things go wrong you get an idea of how good a company can be by the way they handle a situation. My freinds are decent honest people who work hard for their money, they are also long time vette owners and very thorough. Yes there are two sides to every story but I have complete confidence they are telling the truth and have not recieved the necessary back up when things went wrong, because of this I get a bad feeling. However if they are treated with respect and a solution is found then obviously my feeling would be positive when the name is mentioned.Edited by ZR1cliff on Thursday 11th September 18:46

I've used DART for parts & advice and always found them very helpful & fairly priced.
Never used IG so can't comment as for Claremont I've 'tried' to buy parts off them in the past and found the process both frustrating and a tad overpriced.
I'd try DART personally, also MAG at Bishops Stortford are top guys although a bit further to travel.

I met Tom several times at shows and he seems an honest chap who has been in the trade for a considerable time and I was told he has published several books on corvettes?
Ian Goss – I have used him since I bough my Corvette in 03 while he was working for someone else, since he has started on his own I believe most of the ex customers from AC have migrated to his new premises due to the personal attention he has with his customers, he has helped me out several times with my car, I have referred 12 new customers to him and every referral customer I have only had good reports 100% thumbs up.
