CORVETTE 2006 MANUAL GEARBOX

Hi all, i have a 2006 C6 manual gearbox which i bought from the states for my car but never used it, any one interested send me a message.....

Could I ask for a little help from you spanner men out there please, would this box fit my C5 without major surgery?

I have a 2000 C5 Z51 manual which is up for a gearbox rebuild. It has a 6 speed Tremec T56, which "should", on paper be the same box as this one, but could there be differences in casings / mountings etc? I would be tempted to have a chat with the poster if it will fit.

I'll all but guarantee that the mounting points are different. The mounting points for everything are different on the C6 given that it is a smaller car in every dimension.

Thanks for the info Mitch. That's a shame as it could save a little downtime to replace rather than rebuild, and may have been good for the OP too.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I've just had the same trauma over steering racks. I was hoping to change the racing car over to 08MY racks but they're totally different all the changes to chassis dimensions.... Very disappointing.
