As the title says - the nice quiet colour I like, good price, mileage ok etc.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/690570.htm

So, here I am counting the buttons and beans, hand down the back of the sofa etc... that's not looking too bad either. Then, my daughter calls and tells me she is getting married May 24th next year. Venue half booked, looks like about £15k all up. Oh well, lucky that I didn't have time to call the seller and waste any of his time.

I like the look of that and at well under £40K - someone is gonna get lucky, but not me. Rats!

Still, my C5 keeps me smiling, and it definitely isn't being sold to fund a wedding any time soon either nono

Very good price. Must be a Euro/US car rather than an `official` UK car.

Great to see though (for someone looking to get into one early next year!)

Can't believe the VFM these cars are offering now. They were pretty much unbeatable when they were 60k brand new.

Yellow as well. MMMMMmmmmmmmmm

Got it's twin here with 1500 miles for £43,000, just serviced and with known history.

Not an identical twin though - I can see the obvious differences even though it is not currently shown on your website. A few less miles, £6k hike in price. I would assume that there are year / origin / spec differences too making yours far more attractive and equal or better value. History is not too difficult to trace on a vette (FSH is included with the cheaper twin and its VIN can really help get the rest each side of the big pond).

Whilst I appreciate the benefits of buying from a truly reputable operation like yourselves, I simply can't afford it. When I bought my first C5 four years ago, I paid top money for it via a corvette specialist dealer, but probably would not do the same again. The little that has been needed has been done via a local motor engineer - hence IME I probably do not really need the comprehensive backup that a main agent provides. I appreciate that for some, it's the right way to ensure that they have the excellent BM backup, but for me, it's an insurance policy that I would hope not to use (like for the last 4 years, or 80,000+ miles).

Fair to say that I would do a little more due diligence buying from an unknown than I would if buying from you guys. Anyway, it's all irrelevant right now as my daughter has mugged me, so I guess it will be another year (I'm not saying which one though - I have another 3 daughters between 18 and 21 that could decide to get hitched just as quickly as the 23 year old).

Love 'em to bits though - as car limiting as they are smile

Make that $60K smile It's definitely a US car from the pictures - no side indicators for one thing. Not a big deal if you're happy with an import.

Yep, no side indicators or headlamp washers, no nav either which may or may not be a bad thing.

Still its a good price!

Yes indeed! smile
I guess the flipside is someone somewhere's getting murdered by early depreciation. 100,000 for a ZR1 anyone? frown

Yup, I will happily buy a ZR1 for £50k in a couple of years!

Affording road tax and fuel might be an entirely different matter by then though... frown

What a shame I have a few months wait before i'm ready, plus i need to sell my car. Otherwise the fact that it's an import wouldn't put me off.

I love it in yellow.

The ZR1 will be silly-expensive here.
But the Z06, 7 litres of motoring history and utopia for £40K.
I really must get my ass in gear and get one of these in the fairly near future.
