window tinting

Slightly off the beaten track of the vettes but does anybody know for sure what is the legal limit on tinting the front windows of my Titan truck for light transmission. At the moment it is 14.9% measured with tintman. I have recently imported it and it came with the front cockpit and rear windows tinted to 14.9%. Front screen is clear. I was pulled by a VOSA chappie who gave me a prohobition notice not to drive it until the front tints are removed. Don't mind that but I would like to put some form of tints on the fronts.
