Hi
just specd a standard LS3 engine with G50/03 box to go into a SL-C chassis for here in UK. standard EMS harness, CATS and sensors - which i assume will pass emissions as standard.

http://www.superlitecars.com/coupe_spec.html

just considering the LS376/480 engine and was wondering if this will meet UK SVA criteria for low volume vehicle status on emissions?
Any ideas also on driveability?

with 19201327 LS376/480 Controller Kit
thanks

Hi there, I don't have time to give a full explanation here, but check on this website and you will find the regulations.
I think you will be fine

hi chris,
yes visited on 1st August and had a test ride. Awesome power with LS7 and ricardo box

The car is stunning!

looking at a standard tune either GM LS3 or GM LS376/480 which are both around $6000 (ish)

think the LS3 will be fine but wondered if the LS376 was Euro4 compliant also?

great news mate! how did it compear to the ultima??

would the car have to go through SVA?? if so then its just a case of passing emmisions which i have heard is pretty easy for the LS engines with a 'emmisions' tune.

how did it compare.....oh know dont start me off again hehehehhehe

yes it will have to go through SVA as low volume build and new engine, think the LS3 is compliant but my thoughts are with the tuned lS376/480? both will be running non tunable EMS, plug and play for the engine.

Out of interest the new engine builder for the team that looks after my Corvette used to build the LMP engines for Lister which were based on LS1s. I'm sure they'd be happy to speak to you about one if you were interested. They're building me two very special LS7s at the moment.

the standard EMS is tunable....

major advantages are:
1. TK price like for like(as best as possible) LS3 G50/03, paint is £20k cheaper approx (including import/tax)
2. more for your money standard on SL-C
3. Looks are is in a different league with SL-C (subjective)
4. different and rare (at the moment)
5. Fran is a personable guy and willing to be flexible with certain aspects
6. In the flesh its a supercar not a superkit car

all in my opinion of course except the first 2 points which are in fact, fact :-)

they seem very reasonable reasons to me mate! i have to agree it looks stunning and i think if you took it to a track people would be queing up for rides! lol

and Fran dosen't seem scared to try nrew engine combos. i mean ok yeah a LS7 will fit in, but he is also offering Lexus V8, BBC, SBC, Ford, and even talks of Viper engines! talk about going the extra mile! lol

another thing i like about them is it not just a one car company. they have loads of different modles and are trying to create even more! did you get chance to see any of their other stuff?? how did that look??

Cheers

Chris.
