....although it's not all bad news as I'm NEVER going to sell the Pace Car so won't be Vetteless.

After winning the C4 at Le Mans 07 it's been an absolute joy to drive. For those of you who get the Vette News it's survived the drive back from Montpellier, six trips to the rugby world cup in France last autumn and the Le Mans Classic this year. It's a wonderfully quick car but I've had my fun and somebody else needs to enjoy it now.

I'll be placing an advert in PH and one on the CCCUK site to try and sell it to an enthusiast. Hopefully it'll stay in the UK and I'll be able to see it knocking about over the next few years.

Anybody interested in a 92 red LT1 keep an eye out for the advert...

Is there a problem with the big-ends then? (See it "knocking about..."!!)

I jest - best of luck in your sale.

I hope so. Be good for someone to have a bit of fun when the summer really kicks in!

I've updated the mileage on the CCCUK site now, 102,000 wonderful miles.

Best of luck with the sale Phil, but in my own experience you will be lucky to achive the price your looking for. I sold my 92 LT1 with half that mileage back in April for £6750. I started off at £8500 and had to keep reducing it to get any interest at all.

As I say, best of luck. Does look a nice one.

Couldn't agree more! There are some fantastic bargains to be had in the Vette Section, my favourite is the C5 Z06 with 26,000 miles on the clock. A Supercar with economy and cheap maintenance, and all for 18.5k eek
I would seriously consider it if I didn't have my car.

Given it cost Phil 1 raffle ticket I guess any money he gets for it is going to leave a profit

What a bargain! 2007 ZO6 for only £15k!

Just check out the advert: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/297865.htm

Maybe had too many jars at the pub Friday lunchtime....

And i'll double what Phil paid in raffle tickets. Lucky fellow.

Whilst on the subject of winning Corvettes in raffles, just wondered if the Euro Vette Club have drawn their raffle yet for the C6? Seems to have gone all quiet since they were meant to have originally drawn it at LeMans...

Add on the gearbox rebuild, service, brake pads, MOT's, registration and various bits and bobs it's taken a big bite on my wallet.

Picking up the C3 tomorrow from Scott's, can't wait to have the old girl back again.

Well it's now down to £7500. The work on the C3 was a bit more than expected, although a lot of extra work was carried out it's still hit the wallet.

Well there's been a bit of interest in the C4 so it could soon be on the way off the drive. It'll be quite sad to see it go, it's done me so well over the passed year and has never missed a beat.

Parking up on the Arc de Triumphe island the morning of the rugby world cup final in any other car would have got me arrested. In the Vette though the Gendarmes just smiled and walked on by.

that looks nice - apart from a few things like he says "6speed manual"
then has a piccie like this:

now I don't know much about corvettes, but that looks a lot like an auto shift mech to me!

Good luck with the sale, if it is still available in a couple of months, I might be interested, always wanted a corvette, need to clear a bit of driveway space first!!
