Thursday 17th July, Seventy-six CCCUK members travel to the Surrey region at the Fairmile in Cobham Surrey, to view the new Corvette ZR1. A fantastic evening with many thanks to GM & of course CCCUK for putting on such a unique event for the UK's Corvette owners.

Here are just a few images taken at the first viewing of the new Corvette ZR1 outside the USA

Hi Nigel - I would love to but I would have to sell a few others and I like having a choice of rides in the morning. Sorry we didn't see you - great turn out though as you can see. I took a load of video too so will have that up on YT tomorrow night. I'll stick a link on here.

Many thanks to the CCCUK, the Fairmile and most of all GM for hosting this, it was a priviledge to see this exclusive new Corvette. Great to see everyone too!

Hmmm very interesting CTS - love the bonnet badge. I just realised - it can't be. The side repeater isn't hanging out of the front wing!

A couple of pics from the London Motor Show to illustrate how much better it looks with the carbon splitter in place.

It is clear why they didn't want to risk it on the bumpy ground of the Fairmile:

Although that doesn't bode well for owners and real world clearance. CF isn't the most flexible material... eek

Two questions:
1) How much does the splitter cost?
2) Does the ZR1 sat-nav disk include speed bumps more than 2" high as points-of-interest? wink

It's the only colour David. Or should I say Color.

As the front bumper is probably identical to the Z06, you coule replace the splitter with the normal plastic item.
I believe that Titan now has a carbon front splitter on his yellow Z06, and the entrance to his workplace is quite tricky, so I'm sure that eh could shed some light on clearance issues.
Care to comment Martin?

Hi James - what am I commenting on?! Bar the fact I would love a ZR1 (in red of course) but another major car in my collection would have to go and I am too attached to it. (Give it time however). So a lowley C6 at present followed by a ZO6 in the near future hopefully.

I meant Martin with the Z06, not Matin with the C6. Incidentally, which C6 did you buy - OJM or OJL?
