Z06 K&N Intake
Discussion
After 6 months of waiting, my K&N Intake arrived today! Just in time for the Mopars! Hopefully I'll beat my personal best of 11.80 @ 121 (stock), and maybe even beat Hong Kong Dicks ZR1 record of 11.70 for a normally aspirated road going Corvette here in the UK.
There is alot more area of filter for air to be sucked through and when you blip the throttle you can indeed hear the intake gulp a big breath of air down! Laaarverly!
It's nicely made as you'd expect from K&N, lining up on the factory mounts perfectly. The filter itself is carbon with a large exposed element.
The package came with a dyno sheet showing a maximum 27.22 RWHP increase at 4,850 rpm so that'll takes the total to 465 at the rear wheels (up from 438 stock according to the dyno sheet).
Flywheel bhp would therefore go up from 505bhp to about 535bhp.
Stock filter was a bit grimy after 20k miles! You can see how much more shrouding the factory filter has, which is what restricts airflow.
Price? £300. A tenner per bhp...bargain or what?!

Probably wont need to
By the time you've fitted that 440 I'll be out in my little 346 with a 750kg advantage! We're hopefully going to have the Veeteor running with bodywork at the Mopars this weekend.
It easily went 11.4 with 340 bhp so with 410bhp or so I am hoping for a 10. It's be nice to beat 11.7 with the Z06 too.
