or else the car market really is worse than i thought!!
anyway down in london for the first time for a holiday and our hotel beside regents park happens to be beside a famous premier marques dealership (can i mention the name??)who also deals in some american stuff! anyway went in for a look and decided to get a price into a 06 vantage they had sitting at 69k which he admitted was overpriced to allow for a trade in.....

so explained i had a late 07 z06, uk car, mine from new, nav and all the bits 7k miles......and he came back with an offer of 24k! i politely made excuses and got offsite asap....actually really cross about it they wanted it for stock and were actually trying to steal it at that money!!!

Sounds a total con, I had my 2007 C6 with Z51 valued by trade last month and it was a lot more than that!

David
you have still not grasped the fact that I have no problem with BM and am flattered that you are so concerned by my friendly, little company in Waltham Abbey that looks after its customers- I really give up! You do not oversee this forum - please do try to remember that. It is open, fair, free and represents everyone- that is the beauty of PH. If all you want to do is mouth off about every single post I make then it will be very dull for the rest of the community. Please do stop it!

I Think Clive Sutton just plays in big boys cars, He was a Jeep main dealer years ago but now trys to sell upmarket sports cars at a higher price to the London area. He has sold a few Corvettes and was selling a few GT-40's

You may recall Rob that Clive was also a GM Vauxhall Cadillac Corvette dealer back in 1999, although that relationship didn't last very long. Their current showroom is in their original Chrysler Jeep showroom and does well with a number of foreign nationals who own property in the near vicinity.

I remember him having for just a couple of months, And then it went to West end Vauxhall bad to worse! Clive Sutton seems to do well on some high end cars and struggle with the lower end stuff like the Mustangs and Hummers he has had of late. I have heard he is not the best for trying to deal with, I have never dealt with him (Can't afford the cars he sells!!)
Clive sutton Jeep was one of the biggest in the UK at one point. You can see why GM must have thought it was going to work with them. Again how wrong they were...
One day we may have a dealer in the south who can stand the test of time.
Like the early 70's when we had L & H in the south!

I just saw it as well, which proves that the South is not far from the North.
If Z06s do 197mph, we are less than 50 minutes from London

Well I did buy something yellow last Friday (see profile update) so it really does have to be red. Especially as there were FOUR yellow ZO6's at the recent Shoreham fastest kid in the valley meeting last Saturday. They did look totally fantastic though I must admit.
