Just seen this on the net. The car was stock on normal road tyres and running with standard fuel.

I was there last week and saw them testing it, also saw it up close at the petrol station, now although it says standard, what i saw was ceramic discs that must have been 380mm or larger, effin huge whatever they were... Really nice motor though

Says here:

Standard carbon-ceramic, drilled disc brake rotors – 15.5-inch-diameter (394-mm) in the front and 15-inch-diameter (380-mm) in the rear

I believe that the rear ones are the same size as the Enzo's front ones.

That is correct. And the fronts are from the £1M Ferrari FXX!

Ironically, the massive CCM brakes are the deal breaker for me, as:

a) They necessitate the 19" and 20" wheels and that means decent track tyres are out
b) Although undoubtedly awesome and they would last almost a lifetime on the road, on the track they will crack/wear out and when they do it's remortgage time!

It will be an absolutely sensational road car though, which is what it was designed for.

An intelligently modified Z06 will still be the better track car IMO.

Check out LG Motorsports new Track Package Z06...

This is how the Z06 should have come from the factory if they built it like a 997 GT3.

Try these Godzilla. Nitto 555R are absolutely amazing on a circuit. I could drive right around the outside of Caterhams with these at Silverstone in my Camaro! Stick like st to a blanket. Superb.

Hmm. Despite having the same name, the fronts are totally different from the rears:
300 treadwear ("popular for drifting") v 100 for the rear ("drag radial").

Sounds like understeer city to me! biggrin

I'm sure the Michelin PS2 ZP stock tyres are going to be very good, but I also bet they are going to be VERY expensive.

It's much like the Nissan GT-R I have on order for next year: yes, it's going to be fantastic around a circuit, but no it won't be my track car.
20" sticky run-flats and 1740kg just sounds like too much hard work.

Give me a well-modified, track tuned Z06 any day.

Actually, you're right, the ones I had on the front of my Camaro were the NT555R Extreme II and they don't come in a 19" diameter.
The reviews for the tyre I posted the link to above do get good reviews though, alot of folks are using them on the back of their drag car and saying what good grip they get.
