No, I'm still trying all avenues for timing equipment. I've spoken to half the drag racing community so far, lovely people but all very busy that weekend.

There are still 25 days to go so no panic yet...eek

Having spoken, e-mailed, cajoled and harangued virtually everybody involved in Drag Racing and Sprints I have drawn a blank with timing equipment. I have to say that the racing community have been incredibley helpful but with so many events on the 5th around the UK and Europe, there just isn't spare equipment available.
However next year we will rival Santa Pod .....

So this year we will have a "back to roots" Drag Nite 'n' BBQ, with a manual start and proper side by side racing - grudge style. shoot

For those who are there for the competion we'll run an eliminator series. For those who just want to blast down the quarter mile there will be a whole evening to play on the strip.

Without the timing stuff the costs will be much cheaper than last year with food being around £10 per head and the strip will be £10 per car.
I'll confirm these costs during the week.

Remember it's SATURDAY 5th July - next Saturday from 7pm.

I'd love to go but until I iron out all my little gremlins and am 100% happy with my engine then I will pass. Sounds like a real cracking event, have a good time.

What better present than a trip to Shoreham Bay Raceway!! A glorious summer evening with only the sound on a few dozen V8s screaming down the strip into the twilight.......cloud9

..and a slap up meal afterwards (assuming the gannets haven't got there first)

Sorry we can't get there this year!

In head to head races I'm guessing a C6 with 6-speed auto will make a formidable competitor!
