i think i am looking to buy a turn key or crate ls3 chevy motor, i want alloy block max torqe is this the best for money, autograss project transverse mounted, rear wheel drive , have box sorted gearbox etc looking for ideas , i have heard of scat v4 , half v8 , do they exist , please ring or mail or post i will ring back thanks

A mate of mine and fellow PHer "Ringram" will be selling his 414bhp 6litre LS2 motor soon. It's currently in his HSV, but he has a new 440 inch motor being built for it that will arrive soon hence why the LS2 is coming out for sale.
The LS3 is a good combo too, but there are a million combinations you could go for that might be a bit better value for money and more suitable for your autograss machine.
The least hassle is of course to buy a decent motor that is already in England, that makes a known amount of power / torque. This might be a worthwhile option for you. If so, drop me a line or look up Ringram and drop him a line directly.
