Odd choice for a new room?
Discussion
Have been seriously considering a C5 for my next car. Slightly put off by the LHD and the resale prospects. Any advice Nuro?
Edited to say - sorry just noticed you're in France where neither of my problems would be considered problems. Oops!

I've driven mine quite a bit in the UK. LHD is not much of an issue in the non-stop traffic jams. Only if you're on a single carriageway out in the country would it be a problem. It's a great car to travel in, Germany is fun with the Autobahns and of course South of France. I know quite a few English owners and they don't complain about the LHD.
I have one,
Too be honest I have owned loads of cars mainly TVR,s and Lotus which I could fault, the Vette I can not find a fault with anywhere.
The only other car I would consider would be a Viper, which my brother is trying to buy at the moment, so if you know of one available.
How do I change my nickname on here?

At long last sanity prevails. I wouldn't pretend my 'vette would win le mans or is the best and only car in the world, but I do know that
(a) LHD is no problem at all apart from toll booths - get a grip
(b) They are all made of glassfibre so don't rust (like lotuses / TVR's etc)
(c) Are built by General motors so have been fully developed at the cost of millions and are incredibly reliable (unlike most low volume motors)
(d) Have without exception huge powerful engines of at least 5.7 litres so have tonnes of torque
(e) Go around corners fine, thank you. Latest with active ride etc are first class handling cars.
(f) Don't arouse envy or abuse in the way other exotica does. I have never had so many people I've never met before express appreciation of my car, anyway. T
h) Very low redneck owner quotient
(g) They've been making them for 50 years and there's not one spare part you can't get
(i) They go like stink and look great
(j) I've got one
And one of the best car meets in the UK is the Corvette Surrey club every month at the Fairmile, Esher, where often 30 cars plus turn up. An excellent and very friendly meet. No car snobbery but more horsepower than just about anywhere you care to mention...
