I was really hoping (foolishly) that Boris would repeal not just the western extension, but the whole thing totally. Get rid of bus lanes that operate all day yet never have buses on them off-peak. Phase traffic lights properly. Polution in London - what a joke, speed humps, bus lanes etc, etc all create additional polution - get rid of them - get rid of some of the polution!

Or move within the zone and register for a year in advance, CC costs me just 50p per day until April 2009 no matter who is in office. They have to honour CC purchases of a year in advance whether they raise it to £25 per day in October or not. :-) Hence why driving the Z06 on weekdays is so satisfying!

Just vote BORIS!

Maybe residents in congestion charge zone don't realize that they will loose their discounted rate if their vehicle is 226g/km and above of CO2 so they pay FULL £25. Thats a lot of PCN's (Penalty Charge Notices) I can see coming out in October for residents. If I was you I would double check they will honour advanced payments (get it in writing)because the PCN gangsters operate seperately to the discounts section.

SO I say again JUST VOTE BORIS

David, I just read your piece on the Jag XF. And I thought I was the only one that thought the front end was just plain ugly, unimaginative and boring. It certainly does not look better in the flesh. The side profile looks like a poor copy of the Lexus as you say and the rear is actually the only part of the car I actually like. Guess new owners could reverse it everywhere.....
