The better tires, shocks and brakes should see it beat the Z06's time quite comfortably even before you consider the extra 115bhp.

Yes the V-Spec is going to be very hard to beat. Mind you those unofficial times were set on full slicks.

Nissan aren't nessisarily using "future stock" items in the car. I'd trust taking Sport Auto's test, minus 6-8 seconds to figure a factory driver's NS lap time.

the Vette's photog - timed laps were with a passenger, and while they are setting up the suspension for the first part of NS testing... they won't go for a "hot lap" until at the end of the NS testing time

That was my first car, in fact I always saw my old 1972 Datsun 180B SSS two door coupe as a Datsun Mustang lol. Gawd it was fast, that was until a C3 corvette burbled past me on the A339 near greenham common like I was standing still.
