LS7 - in a Morgan. Be afraid, be very afraid!
Discussion
Some years ago I had a ride in a Morgan plus 8 and it was one of the least enjoyable motoring experiences of my life. Very fast, very loud, very bumpy and to my taste very undesirable. Owners love 'em though.
Well, some bright spark has fitted an LS7 and GM powertrain. Please don't ask me to go out in it!
Only spins the wheels in first and second? No way!! 11.7 at 123.2 is seriously quick though.
As ever, full acknowledgement to Road & Track magazine. www.roadandtrack.com

I wonder what they did to beef up the Camaro rear to cope with the LS7, they were supposed to struggle with the LS1!
That made me think a bit too. On balance I suspect the back of the Morgan is so light the excess grunt just disappears in wheelspin and so protects the driveline. Exactly the opposite of an old Corvette on modern grippy tyres which runs the risk of twisting its driveshafts into knots.Gassing Station | Corvettes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
