I do apologise for not knowing the price of the C6 Competition Coupe but as always there is a reason. It hasn't been sanctioned for the U.K. hence GM U.K. have not put together a list price for the U.K. If you are interested then I am happy to enquire what the price would be, assuming we are allowed one....

Being ever so slightly offended by your presumption that we dealers know nothing, the Euro price of the Competition model is 59,900 offering you, the customer, a saving of 5300 Euros. GM had not intended to take up any alloction, but, with our 34 year track record of sourcing, supplying, and supporting American products, we are able to supply Competitions to order, just as we at Bauer Millett have chosen to stock the latest 6.2 litre Victory Edition.

Competition Models are specc'ed as follows:
The Corvette Competition is a special action models based on a standard Corvette:

“Competition” Edition 2008 MY

Target:
lower end of the market
Counter grey market offers
C5 owners

Availability : April 2008
Limited by 200 units

Content :
C6 Coupe Base 6MT in Black (41U)
Mesh sport grill (front & rear)
Competition grey wheels
Z06 rear spoiler.

Content :
Black ebony leather seats
Central console ‘carbon look’ with new wrapped center trim plate

so …
No factory options
No factory fit DVD navigation
(Kenwood accessory offer is available)
No radio controls on steering wheel
No heated seats
No head up display

Presumably, your enquiry means you'd like one?

I received the same newsletter - has a look at the Irish web-link, as at least I can read it..

It's a bit annoying that Stratstone wouldn't/couldn't supply me with a car with comp grey alloys .. but every parts bin special edition GM Europe are turning out seems to come with them these days!

Roll on next years special - yellow with black headlights, black tail, black wheels and a set of stripes..

Thanks for that info Mitch shame Le Man had to get abit silly with his reply!
"your enquiry means you'd like one" - err not from you mate Customers are your living so you know what they say the customer is always right!, Maybe I will see Nigel at Bauer millett instead wink . My point of this is as I was one first to buy an offical car from Stratstone back in 2005 I had the same trouble trying to get the correct information and price GM said one thing Stratstone said another and at that time they were the only offical dealer and even now with new models price is always up in the air, Well to me the competition model seems pointless a few add on bits and only in black with black. I can get a new standard car with no lux pack for £39,995 from Park Lane and at that price I could order something not in black, Don't really see the point the Victory edtion seems a nice spec car but in yellow.
When you go on websites from the states everything is on show price spec options I find the UK sites never as good but that's just me.

Is it just me or is there something dramatically intermittent in Vet's keyboard? (Cheers 5....!)

Btw - 10/10 to Trevor Roberts in Cheadle who wrote in to the editors at Autocar this week. Pointed out the rubbish images used in the previous issue on the new '08 spec Vette. Got two nice CORRECT images showing the car they should have shown in the first place! (See AutoCar, 12 March 2008 issue, page 84)

Oh dear, abused if we don't know, given a lesson in market forces if we do.
