OK- some of you may know that our car was picked to be in the GT5 video game and will be in the GT5 Prologue.... To take a stock 1960 Corvette and make it into something special takes A LOT of work! Just recently I dug up the original pics of the start of the build. I'll be posting more, and just thought you guys might appreciate our car a little bit more when hooning around the track of your choice!

Thanks for the heads up roscobbc! Your anti-virus is being very sensitive, it's probably picking up our web traffic counter. I PROMISE it's not spam, drilling, spidering, or any other -ing that I can imagine. But I do have a cousin in Nigeria that would like to deposit $25,000,000 in your bank account! LOL

Yes, on this chassis we are using C5 front suspension, this chassis was the prototype, and now we are using C6- not much of a difference other than that C6 is easier to get.....

That all looks fantastic!

Craig would you recommend a rack& pinion conversion for a C2 vette?

Does this improve the steering feel a lot?

Mine is a '65 non-power steering car.

Are you looking to go RHD with your car? I will do some checking around and see what I can find out for you. A good power rack can definitely give you a lot better feel of the road!

Try these for C2 rack and pinion.

No definitely staying LHD, just looking for an improvement in feel without any non-reversible modifications.

Thanks.

Thanks, that looks the sort of thing, was just interested if anyone had first hand knowledge of such a conversion?

I've got Steeroids on mine - works very well. If you're at Silverstone for the Britcar or GT races over the next few weeks you're welcome to have a go.

Corvette Kingdom have fitted quite a few of these systems - might be worth giving them a call to get an idea of prices.

We posted a few more pics of our Corvette build. Fiberglass is a huge pain to work with, and this was the "most fun" - smothing and fixing the cracks in the firewall and smoothing the dash. Instead of a padded dash, we went with a painted one. There are a lot of things that needed to be filled out that the pad hid.... The other pics are of the roll hoop support and how we attached it to the chassis.

Thanks Bluethunder! There are a lot of pics to post on this build, so I am glad that you enjoy them. Looking at these reminds me what a PITA it was working with fiberglass.

Here's where we really started to do the major fiberglass work. Because we are using a Viper T56, there needed to be some transmission tunnel work. Art used the English wheel to make up the console while I continued to do more fiberglass work. At this stage of the project I figured the car would never get done.
