Finally got the Vette this evening! Dubai delivery times still amaze me! Should have had it last thursday but paper work wasn't all in place silly

Anyways well worth the wait! I was a bit concerned buying one of these cars as I really loved my TVR and was gutted when I sold her after not being able to bring it over to Dubai.

But to be honest after having a really good drive and even though I cannae take it too high and the speeds limited to 100kph for the first 1000kilo's I'm well impressed.

Its pitch black here at the mo but when I get a day off I'll post some piccies up and I'll email Graham too!

Right off to play again woohoo

Surely that's bollux? A Vette will do that speed at about 400 rpm! smile

Enjoy the car!

Awesome Craig, really pleased for you. yes

There is nothing quite like getting a new car and even the delays can add to the
excitement once the frustration dies down. cool

Some great roads out there without cameras and cops Craig, so go find them or
drop me an email. wink

I'm starting recce season this week and have 3000 miles to cover during 7 days
this month and some of it on unrestricted roads (not motorways!) biggrin

Can't think of a better way to bond with a new car. cloud9

Looking forward to seeing your photos, have fun! yes

P.S. Enjoy the car smile

Hi Craig,

I think you will love it, no I know you WILL love it, I am a little like you and loved the Cerbera, but to be honest, the Vette is the dogs nuts and it starts, stops and go's like a good Un, I really really love it and I feel it is the only car that could fill the Cerbs boots.

Fitted my new wheels this weekend and I am so please with the result.

lets see some photo's

Great smile

I have a black/black/comp grey Z06 on its way - ordered on Jan 3rd and already had call from Chev - built on 25th Jan and its currently on a railcar to LA and then will go to San Diego by transporter. And I live in New Jersey so my "bonding" experience will be a weeks drive across he USA with plenty of old US Route66 on the way!! driving

My 2003 C5 Z06 has been 100% reliable and exceeded all my expectations!! As a Brit never thought you'd get me off the usual european stuff

Thanks Guys! I've been playing for nearly 3 hours hehe

Had a giggle on the beach road. I was there five minutes and had an LP640 and a Gembella Bi Turbo porsche pull along side looking for some fun! So I need a sign made up saying please pass running in! biggrin

Only one thing I can fault on it but its probably me! lol I cant get it to save the radio stations or the time???? Am I missing something? I've been so anal I've even read the manual and sat there with it and still no joy!

But what a great car cant wait to be able to take it above the 4k rev limit and open her right up. You can just feel the torque just itching to go hehe

Anyways bed time as up in five hours frown

Congrat's on finally getting a car. LS power, you just can't beat it. Have a look here at the forced induction options.

I'm so close to ordering the A&A supercharger kit, just a few more things to sort out. These engines are amazing, I'd love a Corvette, only problem is steering wheel is on the wrong side.

Have fun mate, we'll be over soon to see you.

Rich & Charmaine.

I've already got the coil overs for it but TBH I think the handling is really good as is and dont want to fit them just yet. I'm looking at the pro chargers for when its 1 year old but knowing me that will probably be ordered the first time something big blows me away lol

NOS is avaible over here but I've never done the supercharger route yet and for £3k and 620bhp ish at the wheels I think this will be the route I take.

The login name will remain for now. I still miss ma wee beastie! The vette is an awesome motor and better than a Cerb in a lot of ways but I had too many good moments with the Tiv that this car will never have. One of which being the Rock Video with the sexy girlies! hehe
