Finally tracked it

I was testing the new Mini JCW with BMW motorsport yesterday and got the opportunity to take the vette out for a few laps (hence the reason for needing new brake pads)

I was pleasantly surprised how good it was on track. It was pretty good through the corners - following a GT3 cup car through Copse it didn't loose much and in fact i had the legs on on it on the straight

Need to upgrade the brakes and get that handling upgrade as well - but lots of fun

Standard C5 is remarkably good on track, I upgraded the swaybars on mine with the GM supplied T1 kit but Hotchkis do some and there are other makes, I also swapped out the standard shocks and leaf springs for a set of coilover shocks from LG Motorsports. Regarding the brakes, I am saving up for a set of AP Racing ones for the front and rear for mine.

I assume the track was Rockingham then?

Sounds like great fun, I've enjoyed mine on the track a couple of times - good fun and potentially highly addictive! Always surprised (and it surprises others too) how much a Vette can mix it with other more 'exotic' machinery!
