I was wondering where vetteheadracer had got to. Uh oh. Beginning to feel the urge to take delivery of my order now...
Maybe even Mitch's "40k over sticker" might be conservative after all.
To be honest if you are concerned that it doesn't look different enough from a Z06 to warrant the price tag then it probably isn't the car for you. It's a subtle redirection, after all it isn't THAT much faster than a Z06, compared to a stock C6. But performance is exponentially more difficult to find in these cars and radically changing the shape of a car which has undoubtedly spent endless hours in a wind tunnel is not going to help them achieve a great deal. $40k probably is conservative to be honest. Luckily I'm quite happy that I've got a Z06 on the way and I'm just trying not to think about this one too much!!

Priceless, but considerably less than $1M I'll bet...
Tax write off doesn't mean it saves him money, just that he is giving it to a charity instead of the US government.
Apparently it is going to be a one-off Le Mans Blue one. I don't know why they are dropping the dark metallic blue.
Still waiting for Black Rose to make a comeback...

Most dealers have huge numbers of deposits.
Allegedly they do but I don't believe there are 2000 people with $140,000 waiting for a ZR1. There were the same scare stories about the Z06 a couple of years ago and they made no more than $7,000 over sticker and that soon dropped to list once they became available.vetteheadracer said:

If you can get one for sticker soon after launch, let me know!
