Just look at how much extra the government are making per day out of their tax increases...

It would be OK if we all stuck together but the Government use the media to give protesters bad publicity and divide the people. The other problem is people have become selfish and some wont give up their time for a good cause.
We knock the French but if we stuck together like them we would'nt have half our problems.

Sam this really is a great idea and would make the headlines I'm Up for it this needs to be done at a weekend and give the press a tip off to be there!
Also maybe get some other car clubs involved. Prices are going made and Brown needs to do something.

I wholeheartedly agree,as someone who lived down under,I wince everytime I fill up in this country.Over there its less than half the cost per litre and with a population of 20 million spread over a a huge continent you would think fuel would be a fortune. The Aussies take the view that transport costs are reflected in the cost of all goods and services (rightly so) so if fuel is expensive then everything else will have to go up.
The problem we have is that the government RELY on fuel duties to keep themselves somewhere near solvent whilst blaming the motorist for causing "global warming" and thats their justification !
We should have protested about fuel duties 20 years ago when we were awash with North Sea Oil and the duty as a percentage was not nearly as great and them buggers had an alternative cash cow.
I live in rural Norfolk but I will save my pennies for fuel and attend if enough people do so also
