New 09 ZR1 will have standard bluetooth so maybe this will make it doen the line for all Corvette models on the ZR1 sterring wheel you can see an extra button for replying to phone calls. we waited years for radio controls that only came out in 2007MY I had that on a 97 Vectra!! and even the Camaro had that in 2000 I never could figure out why this took so long. maybe one day you will get an MP3 jack if you order the Sat-Nav!

The standard CD changer in mine won't even play recordable CDs without sounding like a scratchy old record!

Amazing. Even if my Vette had bluetooth, it would be pointless, unless the person on the other end of the call wanted to listed to a cat free small block V8.

Bluetooth eek my '69 has got more valves in the radio than in the engine. Oh that and the 3 speed fan and is the limit of technology I have to call on!

Classic! My first car had a valve radio - until I left it on one day and the darned thing overheated and expired!

Anyone wanna buy an 8-track? Sorry, we're still using the Betamax....

I'm pretty certain I know someone who can fix valve radios. I've just pulled mine out of my '69 Pontiac GTO and had it rebuilt as part of my restoration. Supposedly works perfectly now.........except the car is in the bodyshop and the radio is in a drawer in my office.

So either:

i) Your radio now is truly 'wireless'
ii) Your office drawer is actually in your GTO's dashboard or
iii) there are some pretty long wires between your car and the radio!

Good work keeping the old radio - bet it has that lovely, 'warm' valve sound.

Given what I'm doing to her there was no point doing anything other than keeping the old radio. I wouldn't want anything else in it. It has a great flip action when you change it between AM and FM as the whole display rolls over. She's currently undergoing a complete engine rebuild and body restoration, then off to JP Exhausts in Macclesfield for a new exhaust minus baffle. She's going to be very VERY loud. Hence the radio is the least of my worries.
