When i lived in Ohio, we had 8 weeks of snowfall where we couldn't leave the house.
The doctor who lived a few doors down, got in and out of the house via the roof and parked his car 400 yards away where the road was kept clear.
Our road was effectively shut for 8 weeks.
That winter we also had temperatures of 5 degrees F.
