I've posted summary and links from Road & Track (Jan 2008) in the General Gassing section.

Our Christmas quiz therefore becomes how many posts in the thread before someone says,

"it's American so it's rubbish" - for 5 points, or

"shame it doesn't go round corners" - for 10 points.

"vulgar plastic pram" - no score on its own but a bonus point if linked with one of the above.

By the way. Full text of the article reinforces the view of many UK Corvette owners that the car will be better mannered on conventional tyres. Doesn't state that in so many words though.

Road test in latest Road & Track magazine (Jan 2008) pits four V8 sports cars against each other and asks the question "Who makes the best V8 for your sporting pleasure?"

The runners were,

Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Audi R8
Corvette C6
Ferrari F430

And the outcome was,

Best V8 sports car - Ferrari F430 at $185,000

Best V8 engine - Corvette LS3 in Vette C6 from $45,000

How come the Fezza is ONLY $185,000? That makes it about £120k incl tax, vat, shipping etc.

They appear to be about £155k here! Rip off Britain strikes again banghead

P.S. You forgot the phrases "is it still a pushrod V8?" & "gas gussler"

Yeah except you can't buy one for anywhere near list price.
Second hand Spiders are still fetching $250k!

I wrote an LS7 v F430 engine article a few months ago here: http://www.auto-journals.com/blog/?p=189
