I think appologies are in order as it has been brought to my attention that various members on this forum ie. AndyBe, neilsfishing, Viperpaul, RT/10DAVE, V1PER and Viperdave have been posting misleading information regarding the cars that my company sells. All our cars are from main dealers as we say on our website and also the Carfax reports are available for anyone to see. The car in question was offered to us on a sale or return basis, which is why we have identical pictures to the seller. We are currently having a new website built which is why the pictures were still on our old website.

I am amazed that all you Viper followers never had a brain between you to think of picking the phone up and getting your facts straight. I presume after this you will be putting your statements right.

Thanks for the publicity

Paul

Paul - I've been trying not to post anything on this since I thought it's not my business and I'm not looking at buying a car at the moment, but there is one thing that is really nagging me.

As a professional trader, most of us will put a lot of trust in you that you will protect their interests in your responsible professionalism, if that wasn't the case the market wouldn't pay a premium for trader supplied cars over private sellers.

However, inthis case, it seems something has gone awry here, perhaps through trust of your contact or somehting that wasn't checked on your part. Whether the car is sale or return to you, you have put your name to it.

I think the best outcome for this would be if you can tell us where the problem ocurred, and if it is a slip up by ECI, or the car is not actually associated with you at all, then just tell us all the truth, I'm sure many of us would value your honesty as a good advert to consider doing business with you.

I realise this request is probably quite a request, but I feel that now this is in the public domain (from both the Viper forums comments and your own participation in them) then we should have your side of the story.

Please take this as an impartial view of the situation, if any of the points I have based my opinion on are incorrect then I apologise in advance - either way I hope this is concluded in a way that no-one is disadvantaged by it (including your reputation)

And there was me thinking that they were American cars and as such American car owners may have been interested.

Having read all the posts on the Viper Forum, I found this whole situation most intriguing and very relevant as there is a Corvette for sale somewhere in the UK which is a write off in the US.

Regardless of what happened with the Viper in question, you have no right whatsoever to come on the Corvette Forum using the above tone. We have posted nothing detrimental in the original posting on this Forum here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

We have nothing to apologise for. You, on the other hand, have...........

I agree! If you were in posession of the Carfax, and therefore knew it was a total loss write off your advert was deliberately misleading! We await your apology!

The market will vote with its feet, thanks to the original poster for giving us the information to make that balanced decision.

just so you know there's been a bit of fun in the viper forum over the last few guys, this bloke whoever he is 'very concerned' has been banned along with his other PH forum names, ViperRus and Gtsviper

He's been trying to peddle his dodgy motors and making up usernames to try and give some meaning his made up stories ....

Oh! I am so naive. I got a nice PH email from ViperRus highly recommending Paul at Essex American Imports in response to my thread about importing my Z06. He told me I was being ripped off etc by Boatwright. I called the guy and he seemed straight forward, but I decided to stick with Boatwright as I had already had them doing some work and felt it lacked integrity to switch. Maybe a good decision.

I bought a car from Boatwright and the gearbox went on it and the warranty I had from them was useless, Said I would take the to court they never seemed bothered! Boatwright ok when buying a car when it goes wrong they are not intrested. If you are buying a US spec go over to the states and buy it if or pay the extra for a offical import. Boatwright I would never deal with again.

I am sure you all know but remember the magic word............CARFAX

And if its a dealer then a good one will have a CARFAX.

A bad one won't.

I'm only using Boatwright to bring my car in and SVA it - the car itself I have owned new in the States from 2003 and am the only person other than JulesV to drive it. So hopefully they can add a fog light without wrecking it!!!
