Don't think you will get much of a response here. As far as most Vette (or any American car) lovers are concerned a RHD Vette is not really a Vette. If there ever was a rhd version actually manufactured by GM just think of the numbers of people buying - then just think of the effect on residual values and desirability of existing lhd cars. We pay far too much for them at present even with favourable exchange rates, a rhd version would be even more expensive.

None to my knowledge although I saw RHD Camaro earlier in the year

All the modified cars I've seen are in Oz. Its a pricy mod too.

Agree totally. The amount of work involved means that at best you will have a bodged car - no conversion can ever be the same as factory.

I once saw an advert for a RHD C5. They were asking for roughly £5k premium over a normal LHD model. Couple of months later, it was still for sale but with over £6k knocked off the price. As you say, the conversion isn't going to be as-factory because they have to be done as cheaply as possible; most people won't be prepared to pay much extra just to get the wheel on the "correct" side. I've got used to LHD in no time at all in the Camaro smile

Hope to get a C5 one day, don't think I would want a RHD anyway even if it were possible.

Just think - If the conversion is the same as one my wifes Mustang 11 a few years ago (yes it really was hers) then you have a steel or alluminium channel section under the dashboard from left to right with a chain & sprocket arrangement inside. Pedals are simple enough (if automatic) you the same thing as learner cars.

There is a red 2005 C6 coupe for sale in Cape Town.

This was about 4 months ago.

I think the price was about £85k yes, !!

I rang them just out of interest and it was converted in Aus.

Shipped new from the States, converted in Aus, used a short while in Aus, then privatly shipped to Cape Town.

From Y2K you can not register a left hooker in SA.

The Oz conversions are quite good from what I've seen and have to meet stringent standards. This is reflected in the price after the conversion but look in Oz magazines after the cars are a few years old and prices plummet. I was amazed when I saw some really cool cars. They have it good down under!
