LT1 problem

My brother was on his way to work when a warning light came up,saying(SERVICE RIDE CONTROL).Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the problem could be.

The problem is likely to be as it says.

Did the light stay on?
Have you checked the fuse for the ride control?

I would invest in a factory service manual - they're under £100 I think - and lists everything, including this, and flowcharts of things to check.

Of course, you could try disconnecting the battery and seeing if the light goes out on re-connect, but I can't remember how long the computer will keep a trouble light 'on' once it's detected trouble...

The light is staying on.I will get him to investigate further.

Check the actuators (little round components attached to the top of each shock with a single black wire coming out of each one)haven't come loose.

They are only held on with a circlip and the right front and right rear both came loose on my '93 when I owned it.

Fix took 1 minute!
