Pete - saw same for CCCUK message. Think it'll be a failure, since technically it'll be the ABS warning lamp.

Thanks for the feedback folks.

Richard, can the feed be disabled using EFIlive?

The way ABS sensors work is a cogged wheel and a magnet. As wheels rotates magnet detects gaps in the cogs.

Probably one of the electronic wheel sensors gone bad, this happened on the Viper, easy / relatively cheap fix, just need to identify which one is faulty.
Could be dirt clogging the cogged wheels behind the brake disks, meaning the magnets not seeing the gaps. also possible the magnet is dirty, either way simple to remove the sensor and clean it. Also possible a break in one of the cables from the sensor to the inboard plug where they connect.

Also worth checking the fuses for the ABS are all okay.

Thanks Nige. However, I'm also getting "service traction control" and "service active handling" too... frown

This suggests that you have a battery that is about to die!

it would have thought it reasonable to assume that all these systems would rely on the same wheel position sensor.

indeed the traction control may narrow down you choices to one of the rear wheel sensors

Thanks Dave, that may be very relevant, as I havent yet cleaned up and reconnected the rear sensors yet, nor the rear two earth points (I've done all four under the hood)...

Viper Dave - very true, if one sensor fails. all light come on one after the other.

Check the DIC at 28-TCS. You will probably see an error like C1232 - which in my instance translated to "LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted", and I got a christmas tree on the dash - all red and yellow frown

If you have not connected the rear sensors, then it will almost certainly give you an error as it checks the circuit every startup and quite frequently on the run too.

You may well know, but just in case, for info on how to interrogate the DIC and also a pdf on what the codes mean, go here - http://corvetteclub.blogspot.com/2006/09/c5-comput...

I think maybe racingrich is in the wrong forum,I suggest you try the billybob truck and farm machinery one.
I don't recall "The Bandit" driving a Corvette at any time,I think he prefered the rednecks choice as it's inability to corner at speed without spectacular slides made better viewing for the great unwashed to enjoy.
On the other hand maybe I'm wrong !!!!!!!!!!
