Morning all. Looks like I need new rears ASAP... but £430 + VAT per tyre sounds a bit much! Any steers on other sources and prices?

Talk to Micheldever Tyres (or ProTyre as they now seem to call themselves);

I'm getting bored of the F1s now. They have very little tread depth and wear out too quickly.

Ask Micheldever about 345/30 19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2s. If you can get them they should be a bit cheaper (that is a Viper size), last longer and grip better.

In the US they are available in Zero Pressure (runflat) or non-runflat with the non-runflats performing better.

In the US, Nitto also sell a new tyre, the Invo in 325/30 19 which is of course exactly the correct size; no idea if they sell it here.

Micheldever also sell the Conti Comfort kit which is a latex-based tyre sealing kit that won't mess up our tyre pressure sensors (thanks to Dave for recommending them).

I will probably switch back to my standard wheels for the winter as the R888s don't like the wet and cold, but when my rear F1s wear out, I will probably look for alternatives like the Michelin.

thanks... I was thinking more of the standard Goodyears - been happy enough with them apart from the apparent cost of replacement!

How many sets have you gone through? My first only lasted 2000 miles! Mind you that was with the heavy-footed boys from Evo testing it...

1st set.

Not sure how many miles but certainly more than the Toyos used to last on the Tuscan, despite 'playing' more in the Z06.

That includes a long French trip recently (17 hours' driving in a weekend, including a brief moment at an indicated 2 leptons!).

Is that for the C6 or the C6 Z06? Cheeky is after the 325/30 19s.
