Took my Vette out for the first time in weeks Saturday, nice to use it again after a short break.

Subday I was in the garage with the car, although I didn't touch it, instead using the toys in there to construct a pair of 'lawn aerating shoes'

After nailing myself to the lawn (literally) - getting sciencebird in stitches with this fantabulous invention (basically 5" nails on some 35cm by 20 cm planks of wood) - I eventually gave up after getting halfway round the lawn to find most of the nails had bent!

If I could turn my creative genius to something on the car...

Sciencebird rushed indoors to dial 911 even before franV8 began to demonstrate his new invention....

Sadly there is photographic evidence of the event. Once I have patented my version (the lawn nail benderooni (tm)) I will put some picsup tonight (just for you C5Ragtop)

Fran your as mad as a fish with a gun......

Went on a 500 mile tour of Scotland this weekend with some fellow PHers, good god the vette is so much fun on the fast flowing roads, I am actually still grinning this morning!! Still cant believe the interest generated in the vette, people actually walked past a Porsche, Aston and Ferrari to look at my car, I was like a proud father thumbup

Due to popular demand...

Seemed like a good idea at the time. I might start advertising them on early morning 'infomercial' programmes. Get your orders in now for Christmas. (For a small extra fee I will use your personalised choice of shoe)

Incidentally - it's all properly engineered - there's 4 wood screws securing the heels to the planks!!

6" screws inserted from the underside? No wonder they don't slip off!

Oddly, I couldn't get the shoes off very easily, then I fainted from blood loss...
