I need a Battery and an Engine mount for a ZR-1,are these items interchangable with other C4's,can the battery cross reference with any of the large Vauxhalls?

Hi Cliff,

The battery in C4 KOH which is a proper screw-in GM terminal fella was from Claremont. I recently replaced the similar battery in my Cadillac with a 'normal' post-type battery, nabbing a few side-terminal to post converters off ebay for about £10.

Cliff - I've got some post converters if you need, be aware though that most UK batteries in the approx (L98) corvette size have the posts the wrong way round, and there isn't enough slack in the battery leads to swap them round.

I travelled over to Claremont the other day and got me a battery, fitted that.
Now i am just waiting for the engine mount to arrive from the U.S,in the meantime i am polishing headers which i will fit while i am fitting the engine mount.

P.S,the injector housings and plenum under the table are for sell.

This also gives me time to change the wheels around and polish them up.

The 90 rear wheel and the LT5 short motor under the cover on the engine stand are also for sale.

OK,at long last the mount arrived today after sunning itself in Miami rolleyes, they are filled with hydraulic fluid with a large thread that go's through the chassis, sometimes the nut ceases to the thread and consequently the thread spins which leads to the fluid leaking out.
Before i install this on the car ile put some copper grease on the thread.
