Hello all, some pics (prob too may!!!) from the goings on of Sunday, alas the No 72 Corvette came quite a way down the order after a contre temps with a back marker, 13 minutes in the pits having a steering arm changed (look down and see the mole grips holding the twine they used to track it back up!!)

Thanks Denis for sorting out the tickets. Great to see the others who were there - thanks for making the day so enjoyable.

Supercar display in the club car parking

Carbon fibre wheels!!!

Vette's on display

Breakfast - Gixer cannot walk past a burger stand...

Marshalls need refreshments too

Busy pitstop - repairing crash damage

Mr Gavin giving interview - he came round the back of the pits and clearly explained what was going on too - like all the GM drivers - top gentleman.

Spare racers? Don't know if VHR or C5Ragtop got confused working out who's was who's

Last couple...

This was the moment (fairly early on) that the No 72 Corvette passed the 2nd place Aston (think the Saleen was leading the class at this point) - we were pretty hopeful before it went pear shaped!

Not a Corvette, but an iconic vehicle...

Thanks Rich, my pleasure - changed the wrong photo now too - the Corvette passing the Aston was not, as people may have seen earlier, something looking suspiciously like the side of a Mclaren F1...

Apparently they often sit there after major events - which is why I fill up at the circuit.

Camera van man was around earlier also.

Is it just a £30 fine or do you have to fix it as well (albeit temporarily)?

Nice pics Brettal, I now have lens envy! (Although I am going to see if I can get some bigger washers to see if that improves my lens as much as it did my eyesight....)

I remember when i got done for the same thing a few years back, one evening on the way home..as the copper was writting the ticket out a bloke went by on his bike with no lights,on the pavement,,,copper didnt say a thing to him but carried on nicking me for a dodgey number plate, now what was the more dangerous. rolleyes

The cops argument was "how would people know it was my car if it got stolen?"

Er......now let's think now scratchchintw@tbanghead ....it was funny when a Yellow C6 pulled in behind at the garage and I ignored the cop to go and talk to the owner....perhaps that was what really pissed off the cop hehe

P.S. I will post some pics tonight!

Funny you should say that Nige, the cop who nicked me gave the reasoning as "if i got flashed by a scamera, they wouldnt know where to send the paper work"......so its not a Health and Safety issue then?? hehe

The young copper with him also wanted to look under the bonnet.....errr NO chance.
