Use of LED's for sidelights etc.
Discussion
Am I right in thinking that using led's for sidelights and repeaters etc will induce the computer throwing bulb failure codes unless one uses line resisters to fool the computer that appropriate wattage/resistence bulbs are being used.
Rather defeats the whole object of using "low power/heat build-up" led's.
I recall however a C5 using extensive use of led's in the rear clusters, what was the wiring secret?

On my SL, when I used LED's rather than the "normal" bulbs, the reduced current draw was always detected as a bulb failure.
Are you saying that the corvette "computer" neither detects over or under current draw?
This impacts on the choice of bulbs for both the side repeater and keeping the amber side parking, since they would be additional loads.
