Spoke to a fellow Z06 owner, he`s just had his diff oil changed to a different spec, says it was a recall?
Mine has been making the same noise as his was (when you sharpe turn).
Anyone heard this?
There was a thread on a US site, but the noise returns after a few miles.....

Hmmm can't say I've noticed it on mine. Hey Godzilla, you do more sharp turns than most in yours, noticed anything?

It isn't a recall as such. Depending on how the car is driven the diff on some Z06 can be noisy after 1000 miles, but on others you will not hear anything until 15,000+ miles.
The first remedy is to drain the diff and re fill it, then do not accelerate hard for the next 300 miles. This usually cures the problem. This will be done under warranty.

I haven't noticed any untoward noise from the diff, although something is still rubbing slightly on right handers (the bigger headers?).

Eric, I'm surprised you have any hearing left with your exhaust!
